A Space That Works Twice
Studio Six occupies the ground floor of a converted warehouse in the Arts District, taken on by a creative agency that needed a professional shoot environment by day and a client-facing event space by evening. The brief was precise: every design decision had to serve both uses without compromise, and the transformation between modes had to be achievable by a two-person team in under an hour.
We resolved this with a track system running the full length of the ceiling, allowing large fabric panels to divide or open the space in minutes. The shooting area is anchored by a seamless white cyclorama on one end and a practical kitchen counter on the other — both of which read as intentional design elements rather than functional afterthoughts when the space is configured for events.

Finishes and Flexibility
Every surface was chosen for how it photographs as much as how it lives. The floors are a warm poured concrete, the walls a true white that holds color accurately under both tungsten and daylight-balanced lighting. A long custom credenza along the east wall provides equipment storage that doubles as a buffet surface during evening events.
The existing warehouse windows were retained and fitted with motorized blackout blinds, giving the team full control over natural light without sacrificing the raw character of the original building. It is a space built around performance — and it delivers on both its roles without ever feeling like it is compromising on either.
